Travelling from the western suburbs:  MAP  Top of page
  • Get on to the Western Ring Road (M80) and travel right through to the Greensborough bypass (C746 - Melways Ref. Map 10-G11) where you turn left.    At the end of the bypass keep straight ahead at the roundabout and on through Diamond Creek.

  • When you get to Wattle Glen keep your eyes open for a turn off to Kangaroo Ground (Route 9).   This turn off is easily missed, if you pass Wattle Glen Railway Station, you've missed the turn off! (Melways Ref. Map 12-G4)

  • Travel the full length of this road, until you reach a "T" intersection. (C728) Turn right and then immediately left onto the Yarra Glen road. (C726 - Melways Ref. Map 271-E9)

  • Keep going until you reach the Melba Highway at Yarra Glen, (B300 - Melways Ref. Map 267-A12) turn right, through the town centre, and the left just before the railway line, onto the Healesville Road. (C726 - Melways Ref. Map 275-A2)   The route from here to Healesville is well sign posted and there you join the Maroondah Highway. (B360 - Melways Ref. Map 278-B2)   Turn left onto the highway and continue as you would from Melbourne. (See Travelling from Melbourne directions)

  • If all this sounds a bit daunting, (it's not as bad as it sounds!) you can travel into the city and take the straight run out Whitehorse Rd./Maroondah Hwy (Route 34/B360) all the way from Kew to Narbethong.   MAP   It's a bit further this way, and you're sure to get more traffic so allow extra time.
